What is the timeline?

Please join us at the Church of St. Michael in Rašćane no later than 2:45pm in order to leisurely find your seat, with the ceremony commencing at 3 o'clock.The couple will arrange for transportation of guests from Makarska to Rašćane and back following the ceremony. The meeting place for transport will be at Hotel Osejava FOR 12:15pm to ensure timely departure. We encourage guests to try out one of many charming restaurants in Makarska for an early lunch before meeting the bus, although there will be some food upon arrival.Guests and loved ones will be welcomed at the home of Chris's maternal grandparents, Josip & Mirjana, in Rašćane for a traditional pre-ceremony reception. From there, guests will depart for the church via the buses.Following the ceremony and before departure, guests are encouraged to take some time following the ceremony for pictures with the newlyweds. Shortly thereafter, the bus will then depart to return guests to Makarska as the wedding party stays behind. Upon return to Makarska, guests are welcomed to return to their lodgings for a break or to freshen up before heading to the cocktail hour at Hotel Osejava, commencing at half past 5 o'clock.  The official reception is set to begin as the newlyweds return, in and around 7 o'clock: this reception shall consist of speeches, dinner and dancing. The meal is to begin following the couple's welcome. The evening's dancing will be wrapped up by 23:30 (11:30pm). Friends and family hoping to extend the party may join the couple as they head to a nearby club to continue the festivities!

Question 2

Can I bring a plus one? What about my children?

As we have chosen to have an intimate and cozy wedding with our nearest and dearest, unfortunately our venue has a limited capacity. In an effort to maximize the amount of loved ones we can have celebrate with us, we are unable to offer plus ones. Any partners invited have been named explicitly on the invitation you received. We also will be having a child-free wedding. While we understand this may not be convenient, we also know that... kids are kids! They want to run and have fun, and we believe that they should. However, as we have put in a lot of time and effort into curating our once-in-a-lifetime day, this event may not be the best setting for running and fun-ing. We respectfully ask for the little ones to be left at home, allowing you to be more present and in the moment as you enjoy a precious night out! This rule applies to any children that would be elementary-aged and below.For any clarifications on the above, please reach out to the bride and groom directly.

What do I wear?

We kindly ask that guests arrive in formal or cocktail attire*, ensuring to wear no white (yes, that includes cream, ivory, etc.) and no blue - please save that palette for the wedding party and immediate family! We recommend something breathable as the climate is fairly warm. Women may choose to wear dresses or skirts, and men may opt for linens pants and breathable buttoned shirts (shirts can be white, so long as the pants are not blue and/or the entire outfit is not a variation of white). Open-toed shoes are welcome for women; for men we recommend boat shoes or loafers. Please avoid blue-jeans, sports-wear, flip flops and sandals, or anything else overly casual. PLEASE NOTE: For the women joining us, shoulders should be covered for the church ceremony. Sleeves are not required on attire per se as shoulders can be covered with a light shawl or other alternative. Question 4

What should I anticipate for food & drink at the reception?

The cocktail hour will feature cold appetizers and finger food in anticipation of the couple's arrival.Our reception features a sit-down multi-course meal, inspired by traditional Dalmatian cuisine and prepared by the catering staff at Hotel Osejava. In your RSVP, you will be asked about any dietary restrictions. If you think you may have missed sharing any allergies or restrictions, please reach out to the bride or groom ASAP.This meal shall also include a surprise dessert - inspired by the location - in lieu of traditional cake.Various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided by the bride and groom. You may choose from a select menu by the couple, offered in open bar format, which includes the basics: wine, beer and select spirits, plus juice, coffee and tea, etc. If you have specialty drinks in mind outside of that selection, please anticipate purchasing some of your own drinks at the hotel's bar. For those that plan to linger into the night, we anticipate also having a few late night bites (who doesn't love a pizza?) to fuel us as we keep the party going!

What is your policy on pictures & video?

To ensure everyone - couple and guests alike - are able to be present and enjoy the celebration, we kindly request that all phones remain off or securely put away during the ceremony. Our photographer and videographer are fantastic, and will be working hard to capture all of those precious moments. We will gladly share  the result of their hard work with our guests (upon request) following the wedding!

As for the cocktail hour and reception, taking photos and video is HIGHLY encouraged! The couple would love to see their special day from your perspective.

Question 6

Are there other events besides the wedding?

For any guests that have already arrived in Makarska on Tuesday the 18th, family friend Karen Iampen will be hosting all wedding guests for a cocktails evening at 8pm. Address to come closer to the day!There has been lots of buzz around a boat day originally planned for the 19th, however those plans have sadly fallen through. For any ladies joining us, we are in the process of planning a Ladies Night for cocktails together. Otherwise, the only other event would be a family dinner on Thursday, the 20th for the immediate family of the couple. We are hoping, however, that our wedding party and other party goers joins us out for drinks following dinner!
